Gilles Bouleau of TF1 France enjoys a special creole lunch at the Sunset Hotel of Glacis
aTP- Arab tourism portal- The French television anchor-man Gilles Bouleau of the leading television channel TF1 was treated on Monday the 28th December to a Creole lunch at the Sunset Hotel at Glacis. Mr and Mrs Bouleau are joined by Minister Alain St.Ange, the island’s Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture, Anne Lafortune, the PS for Tourism and Norbert Couvreur, the GM of the Beachcomber Sainte Anne Resort & Spa.
Mary Geers, the Owner of the Sunset Hotel of Glacis had specially prepared a Creole lunch for the French television personality who was spending this festive season with his family in Seychelles staying at the Sainte Anne Resort and Spa.
"France remains the main source market for the Seychelles tourism industry and as we welcome a key and respected television news personality we are building positive PR opportunities for our islands where just the word of mouth will pay dividends" said Minister St.Ange at the lunch at Sunset Beach Hotel.
"Today we have an idyllic small home-grown tourism establishment hosting our television personality.
The spectacular setting of the Sunset Beach Hotel where nature blends in with the island’s elegance proved a good choice as it was fast appreciated by Mr and Mrs Bouleau. We needed to get Our guests to taste our creole dishes as they enjoy the sights and sounds of Seychelles" Minister St.Ange said.
Last week a special reception was held to welcome this well-known journalist to Seychelles.
The cocktail reception held at the Beachcomber Sainte Anne Resort and Spa resort was attended by the Designated Minister Vincent Meriton, the Minister for Tourism and Culture Alain St.Ange, French ambassador to Seychelles Lionel Majesté-Larrouy, the principal secretary for tourism Anne Lafortune, the chairperson and chief executive of the Seychelles Media Commission Ibrahim Afif and its secretary Larrey Chetty, as well as Gerard Govinden from the Seychelles Nationand Michael Payet from the Seychelles Broadcasting Corporation.
Speaking at the lunch at the Sunset Beach Hotel of Glacis, Mr Bouleau saidthat he had enjoyed his holidays in the Seychelles. He had the opportunityof not only discovering the island of Mahe, but also travelled to Praslinand La Digue islands. Mr Bouleau said that he intends to come back to theislands and that Seychelles remained a special holiday destination for himand his family. He has invited Minister St.Ange to make contact with himat TF1 when he is next in Paris.
