Ajman Tourism Launches Awareness Campaign to Regulate Holiday Homes Sector

Ajman – The Ajman Department of Tourism Development has launched a comprehensive awareness campaign aimed at regulating the Holiday Homes sector.. The main objective is to increase awareness among tourism sector investors about the requirements and procedures for obtaining the necessary licenses and permits for this emerging tourism venture in the emirate.

Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, emphasized that the campaign aims to familiarize investors with Emiri Decree No. 6 of 2023, which regulates Holiday Homes in Ajman. The initiative also includes conducting awareness workshops to equip investors with the knowledge needed to leverage this investment opportunity. The ultimate goal is to pave the way for expanded tourism investment opportunities within the emirate, attracting more investors interested in capitalizing on the distinctive tourism growth in both Ajman and the UAE.

Alhashmi highlighted the department’s intent to establish collaboration agreements with leading reservation platforms. This strategic move aims to simplify processes and create a transparent legal framework for listing Holiday Homes on these platforms, benefiting all involved stakeholders.

Holiday Homes services were inaugurated in Ajman in 2023 to strengthen the tourism sector and enhance the emirate’s appeal to visitors. This initiative was launched under the directives of H.H. Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, in line with the strategic vision for tourism development as outlined in Emiri Decree No. 03 of 2012.

The services provided include proactive guidelines and procedures to regulate Holiday Home activities, as well as facilitating the acquisition of permits and licenses. Interested parties can easily register for these services through the department’s electronic system, submitting the required documents and payments to complete the procedures.

These collective efforts are aimed at boosting tourism in Ajman and attracting a larger influx of visitors, with a strong commitment to preserving cultural heritage and supporting local communities. These initiatives are expected to significantly enhance the tourism sector in Ajman, solidifying its status as a distinguished and sustainable tourist destination in the region.
