Special mass hosted to give thanks for many blessings in the Seychelles’ tourism industry
aTP- Arab tourism portal News- A special mass was held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception this week to give thanks for many successes of the Seychelles’ tourism industry and to pray for those who are continuously working to preserve and help in the development of this sector.
The mass was the last activity for this year’s Tourism Week celebrated from September 24-28. Among those attending the mass were the chief executive of the Seychelles Tourism Board Sherin Francis and members of the organisation, staff of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, and representatives of the Seychelles Tourism Academy as well as the tourism sector.
Preaching after the readings, Father David Alcindor said tourism should be accessible for all, be it the poor and the wealthy ones.
He added that the theme for this year is fitting and it should be promoted throughout. Father Alcindor also spoke about the need to encourage domestic tourism more and for the people of one island to enjoy the wonders of the other islands. Father David Alcindor congratulated the Minister for Tourism and Culture Alain St.Ange, Mrs Francis and their teams, the tourism trade sector and all those who are in one way or another working to develop and keep our tourism industry going.
“We pray that God continues to bless our country, our tourism industry and to shower His blessings upon all those working in this industry,” he added.
On her part, Miss Naiken thanked all those working in the tourism industry and supporting it. She called on every citizen to continue praying for our tourism sector and for our country.
