Shurooq promotes Sharjah during its participation at World Halal Tourism Summit
ATP- Arab tourism portal-SHARJAH, (WAM)- As part of its ongoing commitment to cementing the Emirate s position as a leading regional business and investment hub, the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), participated as a sponsor and exhibitor at the World Halal Tourism Summit (WHTS), held in Abu Dhabi from 19 to 21 of October.
Through its participation at WHTS, Shurooq introduced investors interested in Halal tourism to the available opportunities in Emirate, deemed one of the leading international destinations in the sector.
Shurooq’s stand at WHTS displayed information about a range of its tourist attractions in the Emirate, including the Al Jabal Resort – The Chedi – Khorfakkan, winner of the GCC Hospitality and Leisure Project of the Year – Middle East Architect Awards 2012; the Kalba Eco-Tourism project; and Heart of Sharjah, which includes the Al Bait Hotel, the first traditional Emirati five-star luxury hotel.
Commenting on its participation at WHTS, Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, COO of (Shurooq), said, "Our participation at the World Halal Tourism Summit comes as part of commitment to cement Sharjah’s position as a leading regional investment and business hub, especially in the tourism and leisure sectors.
