39th ICAO Assembly – Opening Ceremonies and Media Lunch – 27 September

 
aTP-  Arab tourism portal News- Montréal, – Over 2,000 Ministers and other high-level officials from 191 countries, including local government dignitaries, will be hosted by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) at its 39th triennial Assembly taking place 27 September to 7 October 2016.

Canada’s Minister of Transport Marc Garneau and Québec Premier Philippe Couillard will join Montréal Mayor Denis Coderre, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon (via pre-recorded video message) and ICAO Council President Olumuyiwa Benard Aliu at the opening ceremonies.
The 2016  Assembly has attracted a tremendous amount of interest from world governments.

Due to consequent space constraints, camera crews will be permitted in the Assembly Hall to record the opening ceremonies and statements, while journalists  are invited to follow the initial proceedings via live broadcast in the Assembly Overflow Chamber.
