Jazeera reports 27pc jump in H1 net profit
ATP- Arab tourism portal- Kuwait-based Jazeera Airways Group has registered a net profit of KD6.2 million ($20.4 million) for the first half of the year, up 27.1 per cent compared to the same period last year.
Its operating revenue stood at KD26.6 million ($87.6 million), down 0.8 per cent from H1 in 2014 while operating profit was KD4.7 million ($15.4 million), a record 51 per cent increase from the same period last year.
The continued strong growth was driven by an increase in demand and higher load factor, which was up 4.1 per cent compared to the same period last year.
Marwan Boodai, Jazeera Airways Group Chairman, said: “Our continued double-digit growth despite all the challenges proves that we have the right strategy in place for our market with the right product for our customers, to whom we are very thankful for making Jazeera Airways one of the most successful airlines in the Middle East.”
