ATP-  arab tourism portal- Not one, not two but four beautiful Miss World 2014 contestants will be for the first time gracing the fifth edition of the Carnaval International de Victoria.

The line-up will include Miss United States: Elizabeth Safrit, Miss Australia: Courtney Thorpe, Miss Tanzania: Happiness Watimanywa and our very own Miss Seychelles…Another World Camilla Estico.

It was in fact, Camilla who approached the Minister for Tourism and Culture Alain St.Ange to propose the idea to invite the Miss World contestants, to further create visibility for Seychelles and the carnival.  And he was more than happy to get on board.

“Carnaval International de Victoria is a celebration of cultures and this is what the Miss World contestants represent.  I recommended Miss USA who is also Miss World’s second princess, to represent the North American continent.  Miss Australia who was part of the top five Miss World finalists embodies the Australia continent together with Oceania. As for Miss Tanzania she will be representing the African continent.”

“Our float and costumes which are being worked on by well-respected designers will represent the cultures of our different countries.”

“Their participation in the carnival will also show to the public and the contestants of Miss Seychelles…Another World 2015, that the Miss World…Beauty With a Purpose contest creates a special bond and lasting friendship between the representatives from the four corners of the world,” said Camilla in a phone interview.

Miss Seychelles’ next move was to approach Creole Travel Services to get them on the team as a sponsor.

According to Arthur Lo Pinto, the public relations and communications manager for the JFAlbert Group of Companies which Creole Travel Services falls under, they could not resist her charm.

“Camilla is an adorable representative for Seychelles.  She has charisma and the intelligence to fulfil her duties and we are backing her 100 per cent,” said Mr Lo Pinto.

Creole Travel Services will be displaying the warm hospitality that the Seychellois people are known for by pampering the lovely ladies to a chauffeur driven guided tour of the south of Mahé.

The contestants will be picked up early in the morning of Friday April 24, from the Eden Bleu hotel in a VIP car and a top chauffeur will be at their service who will also be acting as their guide.

“They will go around and learn about the history of the islands, spot some of its landmarks and discover the tranquil, pristine beauty of the wild south of Mahé which offers the perfect balance between the lush vegetation, the soft golden sand and clear turquoise seas,” added Mr Lopinto.

Protected property-Cap Lazare, located at Baie Lazare, the place where Creole Travel Services normally holds private functions such as destination weddings, is where the stunning Miss World contestants will be stopping for lunch.

Their fun ride will end when they are dropped off VIP style at the People’s Stadium for the carnival’s grand opening.

For sure, this will be a memorable experience for the girls and may they be blown away by the Seychelles’ beauty and hospitality.
