ITB 2015 – Seychelles tourism industry wanting their fair share of the German tourism market were all on their island s stand this year

ATP-  arab tourism portal- The Seychelles tourism trade attending ITB 2015 were all eager to work as a Team to claim their fair share of the German tourism market. This year the ITB tourism trade fair of Berlin was busy from day one and the Seychelles Stand was buzzing with tour operators and press meeting Seychelles Hoteliers, DMCs (Destination Management Companies), Airline Representatives and the Tourism Board’s Officials.

Present on the stand was Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture who was personally leading the island’s delegation. The Seychelles Minister was being accompanied by Sherin Naiken, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board, the head of marketing for the Seychelles and Andre Ciseau, the CEO of true Seychelles Port Authority who had travelled to Berlin to join the different meetings aimed at further developing cruise ship business for Seychelles.

The Seychelles used the ITB Tourism Trade Fair of Germany to unveil its new design for its Trade Fair Stands. A new look that showed the key USPs of the islands but that retained its openness to bring out the spirit of togetherness and camaraderie.

Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister said after the first day that ITB 2015 was already seen as being a success. "We all came out because Germany was not amongst the top two tourism markets for Seychelles. Last year Germany finished the year in top position. The German economy is holding and German Tour Operators are forecasting continued interest for the Seychelles" said Minister St.Ange.

The Minister also joined with Sherin Naiken, the Tourism Board’s CEO to congratulate Bernadette Willemin, the island’s Tourism Board Director for Europe and Edith Hunzinger, their Manager for Germany, Austria and Switzerland for their input and work in getting the ‘new look’ trade fair stand for the islands and for the organisation behind this year’s ITB.
