Investors: State s remarkable participation in heritage projects encourages us to contribute in the Heritage Hospitality Co.
Almasalla, ATP News- A number of executives of contributing companies in the Saudi Heritage Hospitality Company, the articles of incorporation of which were signed on Sunday, 1st February, in Riyadh, have pointed out that, adoption of heritage projects by the State was the key motivation for them to contribute to the company.
They added that the State’s representation by SCTA and the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs, along with their partners, are greatly contributing in the urban heritage rehabilitation projects across different parts of the Kingdom.
They further said that urban heritage sites in the Kingdom, in spite of their historical importance, they have become a wasted treasure while the advanced countries are engaged heavily in their investment economically.
They praised the great efforts made by His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, the President of SCTA in this respect.
They considered the company as an example of effective partnership between the public and the private sectors.
Secretary General of Jeddah municipality, His Excellency Hani Abu Ras, who is also the Chair of Jeddah Development and Urban Regeneration Company (JDURC), said, “The establishment of heritage hospitality companies is a good idea which is used in many other countries worldwide, has helped those countries to promote their heritage through tourism and heritage hospitality.”
“We are happy to be partners and founders of this company, which has been founded in such a significant period in which our heritage witnesses comprehensive promotion aiming at transforming it into a productive sector into hotels and attractive tourism destinations in order to keep pace with SCTA’s slogan “From dilapidation to investment”.
For his turn, the Chief Executive Officer of Dur Hospitality Co., Badr bin Jmood Al Badr, said, “The company is expected to get great success, and the key factor of its prospective success is that it enjoys the patronage and direct attention of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, the President of SCTA.”
Chief Executive Officer of Jeddah Development and Urban Regeneration Company (Jedrick), Eng. Ibrahim bin Khaleel, has expressed his pride in being part of the foundation of the company, and expressed his happiness on the steps taken by SCTA in this area and its focus on the heritage and historic sites in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
“We were looking forward to establish this company long time ago; especially it is the first of its kind in the Kingdom devoted to heritage hospitality. The government has recently been providing remarkable support to this sector. It has also taken vast strides in the development of heritage hospitality and historical sites in a number of Saudi regions,” added Bin Khaleel.
Chairman of Al Tayyar Company, Dr. Nasir Al Tayyar, for his turn said, “The Company is a good initiative. We need it in the Kingdom, especially in this period because there are many opportunities in light of the great cooperation from the public sector whether represented by SCTA or the Ministry of Municipal and Rural Affairs.”
The company expects to contribute to the creation of jobs for Saudi youth in the heritage hotels and for the Saudi productive families, who produce handicraft, furniture, foods or gifts.
Chairman of Taiba Holding Company, Annas bin Saleh Sairafi, said, “The importance of heritage company lies in its embodiment of partnership between the public and private sectors. It also combines between the investment route and tourism route.”
Sairafi hopped the company will achieve its prospective goals in the promotion of tourism activity in historical and heritage sites across different parts of the Kingdom as well as provide job opportunities to Saudi youth in heritage hotels.
Noteworthy, the articles of incorporation of the Saudi Heritage Hospitality Company were signed on Sunday, 1st February, under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, President of SCTA.
Articles of incorporation were signed by the representatives of the following stockholding companies:
The Public Investment Fund (PIF), Taiba Holding Co., Dur Hospitality, Al-Tayyar Real Estate and Development Co., Riyadh Development Co., and the Jeddah Development and Urban Regeneration Company (Jedrick).
