India recognises Seychelles Tourism Minister & the Tourism Board CEO
Almasalla, ATP News- Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture who was in India as the Chief Guest at the 34th. International Congress of the NRIs was on Sunday the 25 January honoured with the highest recognition of "Global Achievers Award" for Outstanding Contributions and Services in Strengthening Indo-Seychelles relations. Minister St.Ange was to deliver a keynote address at this year’s International Congress.
When he received his trophy and certificate Minister Alain St.Ange said that he was proud to see the small mid-ocean islands of the Seychelles being recognised by India for the work being done to forge closer relationships between one of the most populous nations and Seychelles with its 90,000 population.
Sherin Naiken was at the same time also honoured with the "Award for Excellence" trophy and Certificate.
The ceremony took place in the General Assembly of the Congress which was full of Members coming from the four corners of the world.
Air Seychelles started direct non-stop flights between Mumbai and Seychelles only months ago and this presence at the 34th International Congress by the island’s Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture will go a long way in increasing the visibility of Seychelles in India as the event is being well covered by the National Media of India.
