Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands – working to consolidate the region’s tourism industry
aTP- Arab tourism portal News – Didier Robert, the Regional President and Senator of Reunion yesterday welcomed Minister Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture and Pascal Viroleau, the CEO of the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands to his St. Denis Offices at the Regional Council to discuss the regional organisation following the Ministerial Meeting that brought together representatives of all the six islands of the body.
"The successful meeting held at St. Denis has brought a burst of enthusiasm in the organisation, and together we shall be actively involved in breaking into new tourism source markets for the benefit of our respective islands" said Minister St.Ange of the Seychelles.
Ministers of the region are set to travel together to countries in Asia in the September / October months to coincide with the start of Air Asia flights to Mauritius and also the Air Austral flight to Thailand.
Seychelles is well served by its Air Seychelles flights to Mauritius five time a week and Madagascar, Comoros and Mayotte are also adequately served from Mauritius and La Reunion to warrant a joint blitz approach and increase the visibility of the Region as the new tourism region and one with unparalleled diversity.
The meeting between President Didier Robert, Minister Alain St.Ange and Pascal Viroleau was also to try and work our suitable travelling dates for this Ministerial Delegation.
