Royal Caribbean s Mariner of the Seas chosen as shoot location for upcoming Tamil movie
Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News – Royal Caribbean International s Mariner of the Seas recently served as a shoot location for upcoming Tamil movie, "Vai Raja Vai". Scenes for the movie, which were written and directed by Aishwarya R Dhanush and produced by AGS Entertainment, were filmed onboard as the ship sailed a seven-night itinerary across Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, as per a release.
Ratna Chadha, Chief Executive, TIRUN Travel Marketing, India Representative for Royal Caribbean International, said, “We are honoured to have had the crew of ‘Vai Raja Vai’ onboard. The staff onboard the ship were excited at the opportunity to interact with celebrated cinematic figures from the South Indian film industry. We were thrilled to be able to showcase our largest and most innovative ships in Asia and some of her many offerings, and look forward to hosting more such shoots from the film industry onboard our other ships as well.”
The team of the movie enjoyed the various amenities onboard, including the signature Royal Promenade, mini golf, rock-wall, a repertoire of 17 bars and lounges and entertainment venues spanning the casino to various theatrical shows onboard.
Mariner of the Seas brings 15 decks of activities, first-at-sea innovations, luxurious staterooms, entertainment and dining options. Mariner of the Seas’ Asian season has lined up North Asian cruises from Shanghai during the summer and South East Asian sailings from Singapore from November till next March.
Starting in November 2014 through March 2015, Mariner of the Seas will homeport at Singapore and sail three-to-five-night itineraries, calling at ports such as Phuket, Thailand, and Penang, Langkawi and Kuala Lumpur (Port Klang) in Malaysia.
