"EAST 3 ROUTE" Organisation of South Africa KwaZulu Natal, Swaziland, Mozambique and Seychelles meet business community in Seychelles on sidelines of Carnival 2014
Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News – The now visible "East3Route" organisation within the Southern African Community comprising of KwaZulu Natal of South Africa, Swaziland, Mozambique and the Seychelles met the Business Community in Seychelles last week on the sidelines of the 2014 Carnaval International de Victoria in Seychelles. The catch phrase for that day’s seminar was "One Seminar Four Countries – a Wealth of Opportunities" as the four countries came together to open doors for the business community of the region.
It was Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture who had the pleasure to welcome everyone to Seychelles for this meeting that also showed the way in the spirit of cooperation. Minister St.Ange retraced the path taken for the Seychelles to be admitted by South Africa KwaZulu Natal, Swaziland and Mozambique into the East3Route Organisation. Minister Alain St.Ange congratulated the the solidarity behind the East3Route concept initiated by former President Nelson Mandela of South Africa, H.E. the King of Swaziland and the President Chisomo of Mozambique and said that it was the duty of each of the four countries to now continue to build on the foundation initially set by the three Heads of States.
Sherin Naiken, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board addressed the gathered business community from the four partner countries saying that the trade opportunities were endless. A DVD showcasing trading opportunities in Seychelles, South Africa KwaZulu Natal, Swaziland and Mozambique were presented by the Investment Bureau of each of the four partner countries.
Mr Sadha Naidoo, the Board Chairman of the Tourism KwaZulu-Natal of South Africa was next to take to the podium highlighting again on trade possibilities that was being showcased. Mr Naidoo spoke about the work being done to link Durban, Mozambique and Seychelles by regular cruse ship calls and also by cargo ships. Mr Naidoo announced that plans were underway for KwaZulu Natal of South Africa and Seychelles to also stage a Durban to Seychelles Yacht Race.
The Business Community meeting between the four partner countries then took an interactive approach with an open dialogue between representatives of the four partner countries.
The meeting was considered to have been a real success.
