Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News –As you may have heard, in a transaction valued in excess of $93 million, developer Soho Properties, MPH Real Estate Services and Hampshire Hotels Management LLC announced the acquisition of 560 Seventh Avenue in New York City. To reimagine the Times Square property, and create what will become a mixed-use building with a 20,000-square-foot retail space and Hampshire’s third Dream Hotel in Manhattan, architecture firm SOMA was tapped to provide a concept design in conjunction with schematic drawings and renderings

.

Due to the building’s mixed-use program, SOMA’s vision includes shifting “volumes” or structural cubes that allows the property to express this mix of programming through massing, including:

The first volume offers 3 floors and a 20,000-square-foot retail space with transparent glass materials

The second volume hosts hotel suites with a unique metal screen facade that allows for visibility, but privacy

The third volume is home to the hotel amenities including a sky lobby, restaurant, pool and lounge area

The top volume is also intended for additional hotel suites, however the exterior stands out with parklex louvers (an exterior timber product)

The building design also boasts a rooftop space and three additional terraces with lush greenery totaling 15,000 square feet, an uncommon feature in comparison to buildings in the surrounding area

Renderings and additional details on SOMA’s vision are available at this dropbox link. Please don’t hesitate to contact our team for more information.
