Ajman Hotels revenues reach AED 154 million in 2013
Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News – The revenues of Ajman hotels and hotel apartments increased by 34.6 per cent in 2013, Ajman Tourism Development Department (ATDD) announced on the sidelines of ITB-Berlin; the world’s most important tourism exhibition.
Ajman hotel revenues reached over AED 154,92. million in 2013, compared to over AED 123. 1 million in 2012, while the revenues of hotel apartments were estimated at over AED 59. 8 million in 2013, compared to AED 36. 4 million, according to Faisal Al Nuaimi, the ATDD General Manager.
Ajman Saray hotel was inaugurated in Ajman in 2013, bringing the number of hotels to 11 compared to 10 in 2012, while the hotel apartments remained 18, Al Nuaimi said. The number of total hotel rooms and units reached 2610 in 2013, compared to 2503 in 2012, he added.
As for hotel occupancy, the rates reached 48.47per cent in 2013, Al Nuaimi said, adding that the occupancy of hotel apartments reached 86per cent, compared to 60 per cent in 2012.
