DoubleTree by Hilton Opens in Historic Williamsburg Following $8.4M Renovation

In anticipation of joining Hilton Worldwide’s fastest-growing full service brand, the former Marriott underwent a total transformation that began in early 2013 and concluded last month with updates to all 295 guest rooms, public spaces and meeting areas.
The hotel is owned by Waramaug Hospitality LLC and a private investment group in a joint venture with Interstate Hotels & Resorts, and will continue to be operated by Interstate.
With the completion of the total property renovation, the DoubleTree by Hilton Williamsburg features a contemporary design with new furnishings throughout the lobby and public areas, and warm décor elements that embrace the location’s colonial charm.
An expansive 45,000 square feet of meeting space, which includes the newly-renovated President’s Ballroom – the largest ballroom in the market, with 13,303 square feet of space that can accommodate up to 1,400 guests – makes the hotel uniquely equipped to house a variety of functions including weddings, conferences and special events.
The hotel’s convenient location to Historic Williamsburg’s popular tourist destinations, combined with modern amenities and offerings, boost its appeal to both leisure and business travelers.

DoubleTree by Hilton Williamsburg is conveniently located just 35 miles from Richmond International Airport, 15 miles from Newport News/Williamsburg International and 45 miles from Norfolk International Airport making it an easy destination for all travelers.
The property is the closest Williamsburg hotel to the thrilling Busch Gardens Theme Park, and is also convenient to other nearby attractions, including Water Country U.S.A. and William & Mary College.
Visitors can embrace the history of the quaint town, or take a short drive to nearby Jamestown or Yorktown for even more to see and do. The Prime Outlets mall is only two miles from the hotel and provides visitors with ample shopping options.
