aTP- Arab tourism portal- Etihad Airways is introducing three additional passenger flights per week between Johannesburg, South Africa, and Abu Dhabi from July to September to cater for the increased demand on the route during summer.
Complementing the airline’s existing daily service between the two cities, the new flights will be operated by a combination of Airbus A330-200 and Boeing 777 aircraft, offering a total of 2,200 additional seats in Business Class and 21,500 additional seats in Economy Class over the three-month period.
“These additional flights offer greater flexibility for the large numbers of guests travelling between the UAE and the GCC region, and South Africa over the summer period,” said John Friel, Etihad Airways’ general manager, South Africa.
