President of the Egyptian-Russian Business Council Dr. Ahmed Shiha expressed his willingness for overcoming any obstacles that may hinder the flow of the Russian tourists to Egypt. In exclusive statements for Al-Masalla Dr. Shiha pointed out that tourists incoming from Russia are interested in visiting the beach areas, particularly Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada.
He confirmed that the number of Russian tourists who amount around one million is expected to increase to one and half million tourists within the coming three years.
A delegation representing Russian tourism companies paid a visit to the Egyptian Federation for Tourism Chambers for discussing means of developing the tourism relations between the two sides, especially as Russia is benefiting from relatively moderate weather in comparison with many countries in addition to the low price of tourist nights in Egypt compared with similar European countries with a rate around 50%.
President of the Egyptian-Russian Business Council Ahmed Shiha made it clear that the Council will supply all Russian tourism or trade bodies with all information required for developing relations between the two parties in addition to opening the domain for Russian investors for developing their local investments whether in the tourism sector or investment sector.
This move would increase opportunities for employing Egyptian labour in order to maintain right of many youth in job opportunities, especially as Egypt is one of the countries that are suffering from unemployment and the tourism sector I capable on solving such a problem.
