Egypt Air decided the operation of a new route for the company between Amman and Sharm El-Shaikh as from 1st of October, at a rate of one flight daily. The company officials said that the operation of the new line comes within the framework of accommodating the density of Egyptian and Jordanian passengers between Amman and Sharm El-Shaikh on EgyptAir routes in addition to the lines of Jordanian Royal Airlines.
They praised the excellent cooperation with Jordanian Civil Aviation Authority and efforts exerted at the aim of realizing maximum coordination for serving interest of the two countries in the field of Civil Aviation.
They explained that this line enjoy large movement as those wishing of tourism at the city of Sharm El-Shaikh whether Jordanians or citizens from the Gulf resident in Jordan, especially as the Jordanian Royal Airlines is operating three flights weekly on this line.
During a party held in Amman on the occasion of honoring Jordanian Travel Agents they confirmed that a great leap took place in numbers of passengers between Jordan and Egypt that reached to more than 30% compared with last year.
The officials referred to the increase of number of Egypt Air flights between Amman and Cairo to 12 flights weekly instead of 7 flights weekly to accommodate the passengers movement between Egypt and Jordan, particularly with the beginning of current summer season and with the intense of passengers movement from Gulf states into Cairo and from which into Amman, especially the Iraqi citizens.
They made it clear that number of passengers between Cairo – Amman who were transported by Egypt Air peaked over 80000 passengers other than those transported by the Jordanian Royal Airlines that operate 10 flights weekly between Cairo and Amman.
The Regional Director of Egypt Air in Jordan Mostafa Abdul Karim honored the Chairman of the Jordanian Civil Aviation Authority Captain Soliman Obaidat, who deputized Assistant General Manager of the Civil Aviation Authority Abdul Hamid El-Kabarity, in addition to dignifying the Strategic Partner of Egypt Air in Jordan Nasser Zatara and a large number of Travel Agents in Jordan, with the attendance of the Ambassador of Egypt to Jordan Ahmed Rezk and members of the Egyptian embassy.
