Sources at the Egyptian Smart Aviation company responsible for operation of first “Air Taxi” or five star planes dedicated for transport of businessmen and investors among the various Egyptian cities said that the new service would cost five thousand U.S. dollars per one flying hour for the plane that accommodates ten passengers.
There is a great demand on this service from the part of Egyptian, Arab and Foreign investors and tourists.
The sources added that the First Service of its kind in Egypt was started with one small plane of (Cessna Citation So fan) type like five stars hotels began operation around a month ago, precisely on May 3rd 2007, which proved success, so as this one plane is not ceasing flying that urged them to accelerate bringing in two other planes previously contracted to work in this field.
The Air Taxi company is preparing for bringing in other planes to be operated in this new service.
Chairman of Smart Aviation company the owner of planes Tawfik Assi, following launching first plane operating in this activity last May said that the second plane is due to arrive to Cairo in September while the third plane is due by the beginning of next year.
He added that the company signed an agreement with National Bank of Egypt, upon which it obtained a loan of 45 million U.S. dollars for covering the activity of the company to be refunded along eleven years with simple interest in order to enhance the financial position of the company.
