With value of $16 Billions Qatar Airways request 80 Airbus A350 planes

With a total value of $ 16 Billions the European Airbus Aircraft Manufacturer signed a deal with Qatar Airways to acquire 80 planes from A350 type. The two parties signed the deal at El-Elysee Palace with attendance of French President Nikolai Sarkozee and Emir of Qatar Shaikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

This agreement cancels another one signed two years ago for obtaining 60 planes.

The Executive President of Airbus Luis Galoa said that this order is one of the largest that ever received by the company. He pointed out that this order has nothing to do with the possibility of purchase of Qatar a share in the mother company EADS in addition to the purchase of 20 planes A350-1000 and 20 A350-900 and 20 A350-800.

It should be mentioned that Qatar Airways want to buy B787 20 planes from the American Boeing company for long distance.
