aTP-  Arab tourism portal News-On Monday evening Minister Alain St.Ange was on Dubai TV – Emirates evening News to talk about Seychelles Tourism and his participation in the Conde Nast Traveller Forum where he delivered the Keynote Address. On Sunday evening he had already been on SKY News Arabia.

 

 

 

 

 


 Minister Alain St.Ange was live on the Dubai TV – Emirates News talking about Seychelles commitment to sustainable tourism and the importance of tourism for the Seychelles economy.

 

 

He discussed the moratorium in place on the construction of large hotels as well as the carrying capacity study being conducted in order to guide future development in the islands. "We know we have good airlift from the UAE and from the greater Middle East. We also know that we are but four odd hours away from that important tourism source market and that Seychelles practices a NO VISA policy making it an obvious holiday destination for the area" said Minister St.Ange on Dubai TV – Emirates News before speaking about the exceptional beauty of the islands.

 

 

 

 

 

"Our tourism growth should not hurt our environment" Minister Alain St.Ange said in reply to a question about development and the environment.

 


"I was happy to have again been invited to be on the main news program in Dubai. The UAE and the Greater Middle East have become an important tourism source market for Seychelles with over 45% growth in visitor arrival figures on a year to date basis when numbers from the area are pulled together" the Seychelles Minister said as he left the Dubai TV studio in Media City in Dubai accompanied by Sherin Francis, the CEO of the Seychelles Tourism Board and representatives of her two offices in the Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
