Seychelles see thousands come out on Praslin Island to see the Circus of Samoa perform

          

It was a historic moment for the people of Praslin as for the first time they got the chance to enjoy live circus performances on their island.


 

 

 


aTP-  Arab tourism portal- The Magic Circus of Samoa led by Bruno Loyale gave the thousands of people from Praslin and La Digue who had flocked down to the beautiful coast of Côte d’Or a fun-filled evening with the many dazzling performances from acrobats, dancers, jugglers and magicians.

 


The free show was held on Monday night, at the Berjaya Praslin Beach hotel, in front of its pizzeria place and was enjoyed by young and old, visitors and residents of both islands.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Addressing the large crowd just before the show, the Minister for Tourism and Culture Alain St.Ange said this has been made possible thanks to the many businesses that have come on board to give the people of Praslin and La Digue something that they have been requesting.

 


“We have listened to the call made by the people of Praslin and today we are thankful to those who have partnered with the Ministry of Tourism and Culture and the Magic Circus of Samoa to bring this unique show to your shores,” the Minister said.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Minister St.Ange echoed words of thanks to all those who have given their support in cash and in kind.

 


Air Seychelles, JFAlbert group of companies, Constance Lemuria Seychelles, Raffles Praslin Seychelles, Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority, Seychelles Petroleum Company, Joseph Sinon, Island Vibration band, Village du Pecheur hotel and Berjaya Praslin Beach hotel were the partners that made this show possible.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


The Magic Circus of Samoa toured Seychelles for the first time in 2013, and has only performed at the Freedom Square in Victoria.

 


Now on their second tour in Seychelles, Mr Loyale and his team have agreed to host a show on Praslin.

 


The Magic Circus of Samoa has been in Seychelles since last month and they will be performing until March 20.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Aside from Toetu the clown and Coconut, the sword swallower, Ethiopian acrobats, the Magician from Samoa, jugglers and the Queen of hula hoops and other performers, Sultan Kösen, the world’s tallest man was also among those who enthralled the crowd.

 


People applauded as he came on stage, welcomed by Minister St.Ange and Mr Loyale. They queued near the stage, each waiting for their turn to take a souvenir photo with the world’s tallest man.

 


After the historical show on Praslin Minister St.Ange said as he was meeting with the Praslinois and Diguois that the Ministry of Tourism and Culture remains facilitators to keep Seychelles moving as activities and events are organised for the Seychellois. "We have but one Seychelles and we are but one people blessed to be together in paraduse" Minister St.Ange said.
