Tomorrow night, Orange will receive officially its 4G frequencies, from the hands of his Excellency Minister of telecommunication and Information Technology Eng. Yasser El Kady.
Orange Egypt was the first mobile operator to acquire a 4G license nearly one year ago. Orange has invested about EGP 8.6 billion in the 4G licenses and has also doubled its investments to develop its 4G network all over Egypt, thanks to a total of € 750 million loans received from our mother company.
With Orange’s current investments reaching more than EGP 32 billion in Egypt – and more investments to come in the near future – Orange Egypt reaffirms its commitment to invest in Egypt.
10 months testing
After 10 months testing the 4G, Orange is eager to keep extending its 4G service in all Egyptian governorates. As a proud Egyptian company, Orange recently decided to establish a technical support and customer service branch in Assiut governorate in Upper Egypt, as well as opening new Orange shops in all the country to better support its 4G customers.
Under the slogan “4G for Everyone” Orange offers the best Internet products and offers to all its customers in conjunction with the official launch of the 4G services.
With the official launch of 4G services, Orange pampers its customers with an exclusive 4G promo : each day, customers will be able to receive four times the data they consumed the day before. The offer is entirely free of charge, customers only need to dial #4# or subscribe via orange.eg. In addition, customers will get an extra bonus of 500 MB when replacing the SIM card of their smartphone by a 4G SIM.
Tecno N9 handset
With the official commercial launch of 4G services, and to give all Egyptians an equal access to the digital world, Orange is availing a payback offer on Tecno N9 handset : for 10 consecutive months, Orange Eagle, Orange Panther 65 or Orange Dolphin 65 customers will get an EGP 50 discount, making the smartphone price the most affordable on the market at the price of EGP 999 instead of EGP 1499.
Flybox router
In exclusivity, Orange unveils its exclusive Orange Internet Flybox router at EGP 999 to provide customers with the best connectivity at home, without the need of a landline. By subscribing to 4G Internet packages, starting from EGP 100 per month, customers will benefit from 3 months of Internet free of charge.
STARZPLAY app
Orange Egypt is also thrilled to announce a new partnership with STARZPLAY, the fastest growing on-demand video streaming service in the MENA region. The partnership offers Orange Egypt the privilege to access STARZ PLAY’s complete catalogue of entertainment which features more than 6,500 hours of blockbuster Hollywood movies, documentaries, kids’ programs and ‘same-day-as-the-US’ shows. Orange Eagle and Panther customers will be granted six months of unlimited access to STARZPLAY app and services.
