aTP-  Arab tourism portal News-  Qatar Airways yesterday announced the addition of special weekend getaway flights to make quick trips easier for people of Doha and Dubai to each other’s city.

The new flights from yesterday are timed to make the most of the weekend, with a Thursday afternoon departure from Doha at 15:50, arriving at Dubai International Airport at 18:00 local time, and the Dubai flight leaving at 19:00 and arriving in Doha at 19:10 local time. For the Saturday return, weekend revelers can depart Doha at 14:50 and arrive in Dubai at 17:00, or leave Dubai at 18:00 and arrive in Doha at 18:10.

The special weekend flights are in addition to QA’s 19 other daily flights serving Dubai International Airport and Dubai World Central.

Ehab Amin, QA’s Senior Vice-President Commercial, Middle East, Africa & Pakistan, said: “QA has designed a flight schedule with the passengers’ needs in mind, offering flight times to and from Dubai that suit their needs.

“In addition, we know how important weekend getaways are for people living in Doha and Dubai, so we have added a special flight just for their convenience,” he said.

“This additional flight also makes connections to destinations beyond Doha easier for people in Dubai, travelling to the Indian subcontinent and Far East.” Amin said.

“This additional frequency comes after launching QA’s new Dubai Premium Lounge earlier this year, which will enrich the experience of our passengers and is proof of the airline’s commitment to the local market and valued UAE customers.

“We look forward to going places together with our customers this winter, whether it’s a short hop or a longer holiday,” Amin added.QA offers 15 daily flights to Dubai International Airport and four to Dubai World Central.

QA launched the new Dubai Premium Lounge during the official opening of Dubai International Airport’s Concourse D in 2016, cementing its presence in Dubai and providing passengers travelling between Qatar and Dubai with an exclusive retreat while waiting for flights in the ultra-modern Concourse D.
