In addition to the Miss Seychelles’ crown, Jewels is also sponsoring the crowns for the first and second princesses.

Miss Naiken echoed words of thanks to Mrs Geers for this kind gesture.

She also thanked JOUEL, the sponsor of the previous crowns, adding that the company will still remain a good partner of the Seychelles Tourism Board for the Miss Seychelles…another world pageant.

“Jewels’ sponsorship of the three crowns brings more glamour and enriches the Miss Seychelles beauty pageant,” Miss Naiken said.

Mrs Geers said Jewels is proud to be associated with the Miss Seychelles beauty pageant and to bring a difference to the event in sponsoring a crown with a new design and concept.

“I hope that the girl who wins the Miss Seychelles…another world title and the crown will be as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside,” she said.

Mrs Geers, who has been a committed sponsor during past pageants said she has always been thrilled by the crown that Aishwarya Rai won at Miss World in 1994 when the pageant was held at Sun City in South Africa with some 90 contestants from around the world taking part.

Last year, Aishwarya was presented with a prestigious award from the chief executive of Miss World organisation Julia Morley for her charity work being carried out for the less privileged and less fortunate children in her home country, India.

During the handing over ceremony of the crown, the contestants had the chance to try on the crown and sit in the winner’s chair.

Miss Seychelles…another world 2012 Sherlyn Furneau and that of 2013 Agnes Gerry as well as the reigning one Camila Estico wore the Jouel-sponsored crowns.
