Questex To Launch Travel Industry Exchange in 2015

Slated to become the travel industry’s leading, all-encompassing networking and educational event

Almasalla, ATP News- Questex Hospitality + Travel today announced Travel Industry Exchange (TIX), a new event that will bring travel advisors and lifestyle specialists together with destinations, cruise lines, spas, resorts, hoteliers, tour operators and transportation providers focused on the leisure and tour and travel markets.

Travel Industry Exchange will debut Sept. 15-17, 2015, in Orlando, featuring one-to-one appointments, networking events, and educational programs designed to help travel professionals and suppliers build on their specializations and grow their businesses.

The event will offer comprehensive and diverse conference programming including over 60 sessions focused on niche markets and designed to help agents increase their business through specialization.

Niche markets will include weddings and honeymoon travel; adventure travel; motorcycle and bicycle touring; ocean, river and yacht cruises; escorted vacations; sustainable and “voluntourism” travel; lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) travel; safari and wildlife travel; spa and wellness travel; sports vacation travel; villas and all-inclusive travel; family and multigenerational travel; and the meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) segment.

“Travel Industry Exchange will be the place where deals are made and business gets done between suppliers and travel professionals who specialize in individual, group and incentive travel,” said Jill Birkett, Questex event director. “It will enable suppliers and owners to expand their respective networks and knowledge.”

The event also will invite “travel disrupters” who bring new ideas, technology and resources to the industry.  “Travel technology, including mobile apps, and online communities are critical tools for today’s travel professionals,” Birkett said. “Seeing what’s new in a hands-on environment will further educate and inspire both suppliers and advisors.”
