An impressive inauguration event for Sofitel Dubai Downtown
Sofitel Luxury Hotels officially launches the flagship, city property Sofitel Dubai Downtown after opening on the 1st of May, 2014
Almasalla, ATP News- The 4th of November marks a historical milestone in the portfolio of Sofitel Luxury Hotels with the official grand launch of the region’s flagship city hotel, Sofitel Dubai Downtown.
The evening was hosted by His Highness Sheikh Saeed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan represented by His Excellency Hamad Bin Ali Al Darmaki, Chairman of Tanmeya Abu Dhabi, Owner of Sofitel Dubai Downtown and esteemed Sebastien Bazin, CEO and Chairman of Accor Group; who welcomed over one thousand revered regional and international guests, dignitaries and VIP’s.
Sofitel is a brand that connects cultures, locations and landmarks. During the opening of the property, Klaus Assmann, General Manager, has stated that with Sofitel Dubai Downtown comes a piece of France to Dubai. Last night it was all about Dubai welcomes Paris, two cities that are linked through two famous towers; the Eiffel tower for Paris and Burj Khalifa for Dubai.
Everything around the hotel was especially created to bring out a sense of Paris. From the hotel’s main entrance which was transformed into a Parisian street, to the lobby with its ‘street artists’ to the pool with the Eiffel Tower. All this unique scenery with the backdrop of the breathtaking Burj Khalifa.The finest selections of French and Arabic culinary delights were offered while performers where in the stage and around the guests. The event closed with fireworks and an after party at the hotel’s new rooftop lounge, “Above”.
