Seychelles heads to World Travel Market (WTM) in London
Almasalla, ATP News- A large Seychelles delegation is on their way to London for the 2014 edition of World Travel Market (WTM). The delegation headed by Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture and Sherin Naiken, the CEO of the Tourism Board will be made up primarily of the island s tourism industry partners who are after claiming their fair share of the tourism business from the UK. Camila estico, Miss Seychelles Another World 2014 will also be forming part of the island’s delegation attending WTM 2014.
In London the Seychelles Delegation flying from the islands will be joined by Bernadette Willemin, the Seychelles Tourism Board Director for Europe, Tinaz Wadia, the Seychelles Tourism Board’s Manager for the UK and Ireland, Eloise Vidot, the Board’s Marketing Executive for the UK and Ireland and Lena Hoareau, the Board’s Manager PR & News Bureau for the UK and Europe.
Three of the Seychelles Destination Companies: 7 Degrees South with Anna Butler-Payette, Mason’s Travel with Alan Mason and Amy Michel and Creole Travel Services with Blaisila Hoffman and Eric Renard will be represented at this year’s WTM alongside Air Seychelles, Coral Strand Hotel, Savoy Resort, Cerf Island Resort, Coco de Mer Hotel, Berjaya Hotels & Resorts, Raffles Praslin Seychelles, Avani Seychelles Barbarons Resort & Spa, Banyan Tree Seychelles, Kempinski Seychelles Resort, Beachcomber Sainte Anne Resort & Spa, Eden Blue Hotel, Maia Luxury Resort & Spa and Seychelles Pure Hotels.
Rosemarie Hoareau, the Director of Marketing at the Seychelles Tourism Board as well as Vahid Jacob, the Manager for e-Marketing at the Tourism Board will also be at WTM.
The visitor arrival figures from the UK and Ireland has been showing positive signs for the last couple of months. Arrival figures on a year to date basis is now standing at minus two when compared with the same period in 2013, but it is showing a plus 12% over the 2012 figures.
