Miss Seychelles 2014 and her Princesses welcomed to State House by President James Michel

Almasalla,Gate Arab Tourism News-Miss Seychelles…Another World 2014 Camila Estico, first and second princesses Lisa Rose and Marvel Godley paid a courtesy call on President James Michel at State House this morning the 10th of July 2014.

The girls were accompanied by the Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture Alain St.Ange and the Seychelles Tourism Board’s chief executive Sherin Naiken.

Speaking to the local media after the meeting, Miss Estico said it was an honour for her to meet the head of state.

“President Michel inspires me in many ways. During the meeting, he told the two princesses and I, that we are now the new ambassadors for Seychelles and he talked to us on how we have to carry ourselves and represent the country with heart for a year,” she said.

 

 

 

 

To me it was one of the good advice he gave us today and I am thankful for the words of encouragement we have received as well from him, Miss Estico added.

Talking to members of the press on her project, the Seychelles beauty queen said it is on track and that for now she is thankful that the Rotary Club Victoria-Coco de Mer, a charitable organization of Seychelles, has come forward to offer their support to the cause. Miss Estico added that she is welcoming any other sponsorship towards her obesity project.

“I hope that I become a good role model for other young people of Seychelles” she said.

Also speaking to the media were the two princesses who expressed words of appreciation for having the chance to meet the head of state and to discuss their projects with him.

First princess Lisa Rose said she is promoting her project on coastal rehabilitation and erosion on the Island of Praslin among the youths of the island.
 

Miss Marvel Godley pointed out that as she is employed, she has to manage her time appropriately so as to have time to work on promoting her project which is also focusing on the environment.

Miss Seychelles…Another World 2014 Camila Estico and her two princesses were crowned at Savoy Resort and Spa on the night of May 31. Apart from the coveted crown, Miss Estico won the Miss Talent and Miss Photogenic titles.
 

 

 

 

 

 

Miss Naiken said she is happy that the President has received the girls and that he is ready to support them.
 

“I believe the girls have a positive influence on the society and that this will help in championing causes and making a difference in the communities here,” she added.

Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture on his part said that Seychelles is standing behind their beauty Queen and everyone is wishing her well in the coming Miss World Pageant that will be held later this year in London.
