45 photographers to depict nature in Taif within the upcoming Tourism Media Convoy

 

Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News -About 45 prominent Saudi photographers, professional and amateur from YouTube, will participate in the 21st version of Tourism Media Convey, which been launched by SCTA on Last  Friday, April 11th, and this year it is devoted to document the antiquity and nature of the Taif Municipality.

 

The Director General of Information and Public Relations at SCTA, Majed Al Sheddi, in a statement in this regard said that the Tourism Media Convoy is one of regular media activities carried out by SCTA as it has touched its remarkable success and the significant results in the introduction of tourism and heritage sites found inside the Kingdom.
 

The media convoy enjoys special support and follow up of His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, President of SCTA, as it reflects his interest in encouraging photography hobby in the Kingdom, as well as benefit from its introduction through photography the rich tourism and heritage sites that Kingdom is proud of.
 

Because of the Commission’s belief in the impact of the image, which is considered one of the most important tools in tourism marketing, and in line with the SCTA’s efforts to support the Saudi photographers, it had launched last year, “The Photography Convoy", and  this year it organized the “Colors of Saudi Arabia Forum." Keeping with the same trend, this year also Saudi Commission for Tourism and Antiquities will be organizing another convoy of amateur and professional photographers of YouTube.
 

Dedication of this convoy to Taif municipality reflects the support of SCTA to the selection of ‘Taif as the Capital of Arab Resorts’ in light of the various heritage and tourism sites available in Taif. The 45 prominent photographers of the convoy will be representing different regions of the Kingdom.

 

The Convoy aims mainly to highlight the unique tourist sites across the Taif Municipality as well as introduce the urban progress and achievements in this dearest part of the Kingdom, besides encourage and support amateur and professional photographers in the service of tourism and utilize their images in the SCTA’s Photo Gallery.
 

SCTA plans to organize more such convoys for photographers to visit different parts of the Kingdom in the coming months.
 

Al Sheddi on the other hand commended the great role played by the photographers in highlighting the Saudi heritage and tourism sites across the Kingdom through high quality images which resulted in bringing out a lot of national tourism potentials in the national and international media.
 

SCTA will publicize the results of this Convoy in its various media and marketing means due of their prospective role in enhancing the national tourism.
 

Noteworthy, SCTA over the last few years has launched over 20 Media Convoys comprising more than 750 media personnel from within and outside the Kingdom who have covered different parts of the country. SCTA is preparing to launch a number of similar convoys in the next few months for national and Gulf media including opinion leaders, professional and amateur photographers, and the leaders of the Gulf Media.
