Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News – Abu Dhabi- Al Yah Satellite Communications Company, Yahsat, the UAE based satellite operator, has committed its support to the Global Aerospace Summit for the second year running as one of the Summit’s Foundation Partners, and as one of the UAE’s main drivers in the development of the nation’s satellite and space industries.

Taking place on April 7th-8th in Abu Dhabi, the Global Aerospace Summit is an invitation only event for C-level executives, senior decision makers and government officials involved with the aerospace, aviation, defence and space industries.

Since the inception of Yahsat in 2007 and the launch of the company’s first satellite in 2011, Yahsat has played a key role in using space technology for the benefit of the UAE and the Middle East. Building on the foundation set by Abu Dhabi’s 2030 vision, Yahsat is helping to diversify the UAE’s knowledge economy by providing the region with dynamic high-tech satellite communications solutions that support the growth and development of the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) sector.

Speaking ahead of the Summit, Masood M. Sharif Mahmood, Yahsat’s Chief Executive Officer said: “We take great pride in our role as a Foundation Partner of the Global Aerospace Summit. Not only is this an opportunity for us to meet and discuss the future of space exploration and satellite communications with some of the world’s innovative minds, more importantly it is an opportunity to showcase our nation’s and our leaders’ vision of building one of the world’s most advanced Information and Communications Technology infrastructures.

“As the region’s first multi-mission satellite system provider, Yahsat has been working tirelessly to feed into this knowledge economy, helping develop talent in the satellite engineering and operations fields, and contributing to the UAE’s reputation as a regional leader in satellite technology.”

Mahmood will be the keynote speaker on the second day of the Summit, April 8th, at 9am.

The Global Aerospace Summit will gather senior decision makers and government officials involved with the aerospace, aviation, defence and space industries. Running alongside the Summit’s main conference is a series of industry specific strategy sessions, closed door meetings, social networking opportunities and site visits.
