Almasalla Travel News – From 30th October to 2nd November 2013, the 3rd Indonesia Halal Expo (INDHEX) 2013 will take place at the Jakarta International Exhibition Center (JIEXPO), Jakarta.

 

The Expo will cover all aspects on the subject of Halal, including Halal Food and Beverage, Halal Cosmetics, Halal Pharmaceuticals, Halal Banking and Finance, Halal Tourism and Hospitality, Islamic Fashion, Halal Logistics, Global Halal Forum, Halal Award, Congress of Indonesian Women Ulama, Annual General Meeting World Halal Food Council, International Halal Training, and more. This international trade show will focus on the latest innovations that are taking place in the halal industry.
 
 
The Indonesia Halal Expo is expected to attract more than 40,000 visitors and participants ranging from importers and exporters, distributors and wholesalers, retailers, suppliers, owners of hypermarkets and supermarkets, hoteliers and restaurateurs, department stores, groceries and convenience stores, professionals, investors, financial services industry, banking institutions, government institutions, business and trade associations, halal certification bodies, agents, customers and professional experts.
 
 
The event is hosted by LPPOM MUI (The Research Institute for Food, Pharmaceutical and Cosmetics of Indonesian Ulama Council) and is organized by Krista Exhibition. INDHEX 2013 is also supported by the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, the Coordinating Ministry of Economy, The Ministry of Religion, the Ministry of Cooperatives and Small/Medium Enterprises, the Ministry of Agriculture, The Ministry of Sea and Fishery, The Ministry of Trade, The Ministry of Industry, Indonesia’s Chamber of Commerce (Kadin), the Authorityfor f Pharmaceuticals and Food (Badan POM), Gappmi, and ASPERPI.
 
 
Today, the Muslim population in the world counts about 1.6 billion people. Meanwhile, during the last decade, halal products market has grown rapidly by 17% per year with a total transaction value of US$ 632 billion per year. The biggest growth is found in the Asia Pacific region which has a total Muslim population of 62.1% of total world Muslim population. Today, halal products have become the need for global trade for all customers all over the world since "halal food is quality food".
Recognizing these developments, INDHEX 2013 is expected to further promote the halal industry in all its related fields.
