Tunisians nowadays are living artistic atmosphere wrapped in national cover. At the time there are three world artistic festivals in the cities of Sousse, Carthage and Hamamat the rest cities of Tunisia are living national climate represented in the celebration of lapse of 50 years on declaration of the Republic.
This occasion is added to the three celebrations with astonishing artistic shows that are witnessed by senior artists of the Arab World from the Gulf, Egypt and Arab Maghrib in addition to some European, African and Latin America countries.
The cultural celebrations in Tunisia are not confined to these current three festivals but there are the festivals of Tabarka, Eljem, Monastir, Al-Mahdia nights, Gafsa, Gasrine, Sidi Bouzid, Befrinin, Teborba, Duga, Siliana, Marsa Kantaoui, Moknine, Tataouine, Kairwan, Gremda, Zahra, Testour, Bizerte, Ibn Rashiq, Gbelli, Gabes, Sidi Bou Said, Awesso.
The Tunisian Ministry of Culture organizes the Awesso Festival since 50 years on 25th of July every year at the tourist Eastern coastal city of Sousse, where a great carnival show is taking place at the maritime façade of the city with participation of more than 20 symbolic vehicles embody the legendary tales of Awesso “Sea God” and various economic and tourism activities in the area to add eternal feature on the folkloric traditions and customs that date back to ancient ages in this historical city.
The Tunisian Minister of Culture Mohamed Al-Aziz bin Ashour explained that this number of festivals is regarded as gates for communication with other countries and an enhancement for furthering interaction with various cultures as well as extending cooperation bridges with brotherly and friendly countries through programs for cultural exchange shows that comprises many international festivals distributed on various states of the Tunisian Republic.
The 41st round of Carthage Festival would continue until 16th of August.
The most leading Arab stars taking part in the Tunisian festivals this year are comprising the Lebanese artists Carol Samaha, Elisa, Ragheb Allama, Fadl Shaker and Nancy Agram, the Egyptian female signer Sherin Abdul Wahab, the Iraqi male voice Kadhem El-Saher, and UAE singer Hussein Al-Gesmy.
