A fire erupted at a boat at Tiran Island region, Aqaba Gulf, Southern Sinai on Tuesday, where ten tourists aboard the boat were rescued.
Major General Haroun Hassan Assistant to Minister of Interior for South Sinai security received a report of occurrence of the fire in the tourist boat (Rosita) in Aqaba Gulf close to Tiran Island, and that another boat rescued the tourists who jumped to water.
The tourists were five Australians, three Dutch and two from New Zealand, while two of the four Egyptian crew were injured.
The sources thought that cause of fire may have been an explosion of Oxygen cylinders that are used during practice of Diving sport, that led to the full burning of the boat.
