DWTC KICKS OFF 2016 EXHIBITION SEASON TODAY
Over 160,000 visitors anticipated in January industry mega-events including Arab Health and Intersec
aTP- Arab tourism portal- Dubai, – Kick starting the New Year, Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has announced the launch of its 2016 calendar of events today (10th January), with Sign and Graphic Imaging Middle East taking place from 10 – 12 January. Other industry leading mega-events such as Arab Health and Intersec will also take place this month, attracting over 160,000 business visitors and 5,500 exhibitors from the printing, security and healthcare industries.

Mega-show Arab Health will return this year from 25-28 January, with a focus on 3D printing in the healthcare industry. Considered to be highly cost effective, it is widely considered as a lifesaving invention in the healthcare sector. The 3D printing industry is expected to reach $8,675.7 million by 2020, and the healthcare industry is anticipated to grow annually at 14.74% through to 2019, primarily due to increasing technological advancements and growing population base.
Other key events taking place in the month of January include The Sign and Graphic Imaging Middle East which will run from today, 10 to 12 January. The event has set its sights on even more specialised pavilions this year to address solutions for digital, retail, textile, finishing and fabric requirements. 2016 also marks the 19th edition of the annual B2B trade event for signage (digital and conventional), graphic imaging, retail POP/POS, screen and digital printing. A key focus of the new edition includes the digital printing industry that is meant to worth $187.7 billion by 2018.
From 17-19 January, the 18th edition of Intersec will return with a broad gamut of cutting-edge international security and safety solutions. Typically comprised of five sections, this year sees the introduction of three new areas including; Smart Home & Home Automation Equipment, Safety Design in Buildings and Physical & Perimeter Security. This stems from the global growth in cybercrime and the need for enterprises to ensure a strong fort of procedures and policies are in place to protect data and collateral.
The first quarter of 2016 will see a host of action-packed events including; Dubai Classics 2016, Great Moscow State Circus, Gulfood, the world’s largest annual food and hospitality show, Dubai International Boat Show, the Dubai International Horse Fair, GITEX Shopper Spring, Middle East Electricity, CABSAT MENA, conferences such as Emirates Haematology Conference, Gulf Enterprise Mobility Exhibition Conference, and more.
