Egyptian Minister of Aviation and explains steps taken by Egypt concerning the Russian-fated plane incident so far
ATP- Arab tourism portal-Hossam Kamal the Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation said that he extends his deep condolences to the families and friends of the victims of the Russian aircraft that was crashed in middle Sinai last Saturday.
He stated that tremendous efforts has been excreted by the Egyptian government to discover the crash site in just few hours after the aircraft has disappeared from the radar screens, the black boxes has been recovered in the same day and the bodies of the victims has been recovered and rushed to hospitals in Cairo.
All assistance has been given to the Russian side to send the remains back home at the requested time.
The minister stated that an investigation committee has been formed to take charge of the investigation of this accident. Egypt will lead investigation in cooperation with the Russian side (Country of operation), Ireland (Country of registry) and the manufacturer of the aircraft. The committee has commenced its tasks by inspecting the crash site since the first day of the accident and they expect to finish the field inspection by the end of day today and they will start working on the data of the black boxes.
The investigation committee has all the tools and experts to deal with the investigation and issue the final report which will take some time to finish.
All speculations about the cause of the accident at this point are too early and are not based on any concrete evidence.
