Air China keen to fly from Islamabad airport
ATP- Arab tourism portal- ISLAMABAD- Air China, the national flag carrier of China, has shown keen interest to operate three flights of its Airbus-320 in a week from the Islamabad International Airport, starting from October 2015.
In this regard, an Air China delegation visited the Islamabad Airport and held meeting with Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Airport Manager Muhammad Ayaz Jadoon, said a spokesman of the authority on Saturday.
The manager assured the delegation of full support for smooth and secure flight operations from Islamabad.
Presently, China Southern, a Chinese airline, operates weekly four flights of Boing 757 from the Islambad Airport.Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) also operates two flights of Airbus-320 in a week to Beijing.
About 100 flights operate from the Islamabad airport on daily basis including 18 foreign carriers.
After the renovation and development work, the foreign carriers are taking more interest to operate from the Islamabad International Airport.
