Center of Reviving Ancient Egyptian Art
Almasalla, ATP News- The Ministry of Antiquities Center of Reviving Ancient Egyptian Art was established in 1982 by the artist and the archaeologist Fouad Abdel Hamid. The main purpose of establishing the Center was to revive and renew the arts of Ancient Egypt through history and to increase the archaeological awareness and the sense of belonging to the homeland "EGYPT".
The center’s artists are well trained to produce replicas of Pharaonic, Greco-Roman, Coptic and Islamic artifacts.
The Center has the following units:
– Molding Replicas
– Painting and gilding
– Coptic Replicas
– Egyptian and Islamic models, papyrus and textile.
– Maquette – Pottery – Sculpture.
The Center also contains an Archeological information Unit in which there is a group of archaeologists collecting and making labels with detailed information about each piece of the center’s products and they are also playing a role in advertising the Center. The Commercial Unit is concerned with selling the models produced by the Center.
