Business Boom at Ramada Downtown Dubai Reflects Upward Trend in Dubai s Hospitality Sector

Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News -Press Release- With a target of 100 million visitors annually at the Dubai Mall, the Ramada Downtown Dubai is well placed to exploit its location within strolling distance of the shopping district and Burj Khalifa as a prime selling point for 2014 and beyond.

According to General Manager Samir Arora, expansion plans at the Dubai Mall and its wealth of visitor attractions will ensure its place as a must-visit centre: “Shopping in Dubai is more than just retail therapy with attractions such as ice rink, aquarium, underwater zoo, children’s entertainment centre and even a 155 million year old dinosaur”.

“With spacious suite accommodation and family oriented leisure facilities at the Ramada Downtown Dubai, we offer a value-priced stay option at one of the best locations in the city.”

While Dubai is set to double its hotel inventory from 85,000 rooms within six years when it will play host to the Expo 2020, location and great value for money are two key factors that will ensure business continues to boom at the hotel.

“Our team has been working continuously to build awareness of the Ramada Downtown Dubai in both established and new markets, and results have been very positive … but we have to diversify both our geographic and sector reach to ensure profitable results for our owner.”

Dubai visitor numbers reached 11 million in 2013, with sizeable increases recorded from the number one source market Saudi Arabia (up 19.9 per cent), as well as from China (up 11 per cent) and Australia (a 39 per cent rise).

“These figures illustrate the potential for hotels in Dubai, ranging from strong regional markets fuelling short break visits, to more and more stopover traffic from long-haul destinations and lucrative emerging markets,” said Mr Arora.

“In addition, with ongoing expansion of their networks by carriers such as fly Dubai, and of course Emirates, new markets are opening up all the time, and our sales team is gearing up to take advantage of these – while, on the horizon, Expo 2020 will undoubtedly provide a unique showcase for Dubai that will benefit the whole city as well as the region..”
