 SCTA President visits "Haj Journey Through the Ages" gallery in Jeddah

 

Almasalla Arab Travel Portal News – By Ashraf El gedawy – Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdul Aziz, President of SCTA, on Sunday,10th Nov, visited the gallery of "Haj Journey through Ages" which is being held by artist, Reem Nazir. The exhibition features a number of oil paintings inspired by the historic records and ancient stories. The exhibition is taking place at the Jeddah Municipality and will last from 21st Oct to 14th Nov.

 
President of SCTA made a tour in the exhibition in the company of the artist, Reem Nazir and her husband Eng. Tariq Ali Reda. 
 
During his tour,  President of SCTA listened to a detailed explanation on the displayed paintings, which highlight past periods of Haj atmosphere in Makkah and Al Madina, in addition to highlighting the pilgrims’ caravans and journeys and their arrival at the Kingdom’s seaports, besides shedding light on different rites of the pilgrimage. 
 
 President of SCTA, at the end of his tour, expressed his pleasure on the wonderful paintings he saw which highlight Haj history, mixing of skillful art with the history and ancient heritage. 
 
"This exhibition deserves to be visited by visitors and people of Jeddah," added Prince Sultan .
 
 President of SCTA called for the exhibition to be moved to other cities inside and outside the Kingdom. 
 
Noteworthy, the gallery includes paintings illustrating prayer in the Holy Mosques and in the famous mosques in the Kingdom, such as the Quba Mosque, Hamza Mosque, Al Khaif Mosque and the Seven Mosques, in addition to illustrating Zamzam Water Well, the Black Stone, and Al Saie rites, Eain Zubaida in Arafa and Al Rawda Al Sharefa and Meena Main Road. 
 
The exhibition was kicked off by  Prince Khalid Al Faisal bin Abdul Aziz, Governor of Makkah on Tuesday 21st Oct, in the presence of the Minister of Culture and Information, Dr. Abdul Aziz Khoja.
