aTP- Arab tourism portal- Dubai-based flydubai airline has announced that it will provide hardship payments of $20,000 to the families of passengers killed in the crash of its plane in Russia.
"At present, our priority is to identify and contact the families of those lost in the tragic accident and provide immediate support to those affected. Flydubai will additionally organize a programme of hardship payments to the families amounting to $20,000 per passenger, in accordance with our Conditions of Carriage, with the aim of addressing immediate financial needs," a statement from the airline said.
The airline’s flight FZ981 from Dubai to Russia’s Rostov-on-Don airport crashed on saturday , killing all the 62 passengers and crew on board.
The flight was en route from Dubai and crashed during a landing approach.“During the landing approach a Boeing-737 crashed.
It had 55 passengers on board. All of them died,” a regional spokesman told Tass.The airline confirmed that both black box flight recorders have been recovered from the crash site by the local accident investigation team.
