Minister St.Ange of the Seychelles confirms he will be at the East Africa Tourism Development Forum that will be held in Kenya  20-22 August

 

 

 

 

ATP-  Arab tourism portal- Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister of Tourism and Culture will be a panelist in the East Africa Tourism Development forum to be held in Kenya, from 20-22 August 2015.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 


Minister St.Ange who was in Ghana for the UNWTO meeting on Brand Africa said that he will be stopping in Kenya on his way back home and participate in the East Africa Tourism Development forum that is being organised jointly y the UNWTO (United Nations World Tourism Organisation) and the Ministry of East African Affairs, Commerce and Tourism and Kenya.

The forum is set to look deeply at ways and means to accelerate the unlocking of the greater potential of the East Africa sub-region. Mr Taleb Rifai, the Secretary General of the UNWTO is expected to personally lead Tourism Leaders from East Africa and the Indian Ocean Vanilla Islands in this forum that aims to unite the region’s Tourism leaders to engage in interactive dialogue around the important theme of "Connecting Opportunity". The Seychelles Minister and his Regional Colleagues are also expected to to sit in a closed door Ministerial Discussion Session that will be chaired by Mr Rifai of the UNWTO.


"This forum in Kenya is aimed at advancing tourism growth in the East Africa region and to achieve this we all all need to play our part as serious partners in the industry that is today recognised as important for Africa. Seychelles is one destination that depends on tourism for its economic stability, this pushes myself and the Team at the Ministry of Tourism and Culture to leave no stones untenured. Our work is on the ground locally in Seychelles as it is globally and so far our actions plans are working for our islands" said Minister St.Ange as he left Ghana for Kenya.
