Cairo "Almasalla News"…Today nasair, the Saudi National carrier, launched a mobile phone version of its website, www.flynas.com to continue its tradition of offering Customers smart services to facilitate and optimize the benefits they draw from its services. This was announced by engineer Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Chief of Information Technology at nasair’s holding company, NAS Holding. He explained that the new version stands out among other sites as it was designed and specifically formatted to be easily viewable on mobile browsers and to work on all mobile operating systems that allow Internet browsing, thus allowing Customers to communicate with nasair anytime, anywhere.
Al-Ghanim explained that Customers can now simply enter the website address into their mobile browser and the system will automatically direct them to the mobile version of the site, therefore allowing Customers to use a single address for all of their electronic bookings. “Our valued Customers can now use the system to make flight reservations and pay for them, whether through a credit card or the SADAD e-payment system, issue a boarding pass, change reservation details and enquire about flight schedules,” he said.
This is the smart airline’s first step in deploying advanced, sleek mobile applications for various operating systems such as, iPhone, BlackBerry and Android devices. Al-Ghanim also stated that nasair will soon launch a new service for its Customers which allows the issuance of a flight boarding pass via mobile phones,

where the pass is issued to the Customer in the form of a text message (SMS).
Engineer Al-Ghanim concluded by saying that full reservation and enquiry services via mobile are now only offered by two carriers in the Middle East; one of which is Emirates Airlines, which offers full services similar to those now launched by nasair, while the other carriers offers services limited to enquiries. Al Ghanim said; “This reaffirms that nasair is leading the industry and underlines the smart choice made by our Customers.”
