Commercial Aviation Meets Private Aviation at Dubai International Air Show 2007

International dignitaries and aviation trade representatives will be treated to a taste of the best of British luxury, as all-business class carrier, Silverjet, plays host to the aviation world’s elite at Dubai Airshow 2007.

Silverjet’s Chairman, Peter Owen, and CEO, Lawrence Hunt, are confirmed to be in Dubai for the biennial aviation event taking place 11-15 November 2007.

Silverjet – which began its operations on 25 January 2007 and aims to offer its customers a private jet style experience – currently offers a twice-daily service between London and New York, with its London-Dubai service commencing daily operation from 19 November.

A spokesperson for the airline said that the decision to participate in Dubai Airshow 2007 was central to its international marketing agenda.

“Silverjet is the world’s only airline to offer the convenience and luxury of a private jet without the need to own one,” said Katherine Gershon, Chief of Staff, Silverjet.

“The Dubai Airshow 2007 affords Silverjet an unparalleled opportunity to welcome the world’s aviation industry, as well as future customers, onboard to experience the Silverjet difference – from cabin interior style to food and beverage service excellence.”

Nearly 900 exhibitors from 50 countries are participating in the Dubai Airshow 2007, including 11 country pavilions. The static display will host more than 140 aircraft, including the Airbus A380, a Lockheed Martin F-16, and myriad of business jets.

The Silverjet service from Dubai will launch on 19 November and will fly from the Executive Terminal at Dubai International Airport.
