Owners of Commercial shops (Bazaars) at Kings Valley region, West Bank of Luxor put an end for their sit in, which lasted 4 days, in protest over the decision of the Supreme Council for Antiquities of increasing value of rent of their Bazaars in the monumental area.
Archeologist Sabry Abdul Aziz Chairman of Egyptology Monuments Sector in a statement to Al-Masalla today said that the Supreme Council for Antiquities reached with the protesters to a reconciliatory solution led to end the sit in and return to reopening of their Bazaars against non increase of rent suddenly.
The increase will be in an annual form, that will be determined in a joint meeting between officials of Luxor City Council and Supreme Council for Antiquities. The new increase will be utilized in boosting restoration in the site.
