Tourism and Hotel Expert Ziad Tantawy the General Manager of Taba Hilton resort said that the region completely differed this year 2007 from time prior the terrorist accident in 2004 as it witnessed a great growth in the hotel capacity that peaked to 4200 5 stars hotel rooms against 2500 rooms only two years ago.
In an exclusive interview for Al-Masalla he pointed out that wise dealing with the crisis of Taba in October 2004 led to rapid return of the tourist flow rates to what it was and more, with the evidence of increase of investments in the region and no setback of the tourism movement.

He disclosed that Taba now is witnessing flow of many nationalities coming from Ukraine, Germany, Belgium, France, Poland, England in addition to Israel and Jordan, due to closeness in geographical site of the region near to these two countries.
He revealed that Israeli tourism now represent 35% only of tourism volume in Taba, after it was forming 90% of the total movement. This change of rates is not attributed to decrease in Israeli tourism but it is due to the increase of tourist flow from other markets, particularly European markets that have more interest in Taba.
