The Syrian Tourism Promotion Convoy that is presided over by Minister of Tourism Dr. Saad Allah Agha Al-Kalaa participated in Beijing International Tourism Fair. The Syrian activities included inauguration of Artistic and Craftsmanship exhibitions in addition to tourism meeting that comprises tourism activities of travel offices, hotels, businessmen, investors, media-men and Dancing Theatre Golnar band.
The Syrian delegation during its visit to China, which is the 9th, will meet with Chinese National Tourism Department and with Travel Offices, businessmen and media-men. A workshop between travel offices in the two countries will take place shortly.
Beijing stop in tourism promotion comes after launching of promotion convoys in each of Madrid, Milan, Moscow, Berlin, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and U.A.E.
The present year plan includes follow up of promotion in each of London, Italy, Greece, Japan and for Syrian expatriates in Latin America.
Initial Statistics are indicating an increase at a rate of 30% in number of tourists compared with same period last year, following efforts of the Ministry in promotion in these countries.
