Announcement of Air Seychelles returning with direct non-stop flights to Paris now confirmed brings renewed interests from French Tour Operators
ATP- arab tourism portal- The recent announcement that Air Seychelles will be launching direct non-stop flights to Paris has not only been well received by French Tour Operators, but they have also shown renewed interest to sell Seychelles.
Many French Tour Operators have since visited Seychelles inclusive of the bosses of DIRECT TOURS from Paris who made time to call on Alain St.Ange, the Seychelles Minister responsible for Tourism and Culture and Sherin Naiken, the CEO of the Tourism Board at their ESPACE Offices.
"It is very clear that Seychelles has answered the call that the French Tour Operators were making. Our competing destinations all had non-stop direct flights but we were stuck with the hibbing approach. We always knew that as a destination we needed both the non-stop direct flight as we needed the hubs. Now once again we shall have both, but we know that to make the new direct non-stop flights we need to work even harder than before because Seychelles needs tour operator contracts to shift mid-stream to move business to Air Seychelles" said Minister St.Ange.
The private sector trade, the Tourism Board and the Ministry of Tourism and Culture are all eager and ready to work with Air Seychelles to make the new direct non-stop flight the success it deserves to be.
At the meeting with the Heads of Direct Tour of Paris the door-to-door of Tour Operators approach was discussed and to compound this with the training of the Tour Operators Sales Team on the selling of Seychelles. Corinne Louison of Direct Tour, a long term supporter of Seychelles, agreed that success is to innovate new and a very personalised approach to switch working allegiance now in place since Air Seychelles withdrew from the Paris – Seychelles leg.
