aTP-  Arab tourism portal News – Seychelles once again welcomed an international star to its shores this time around it was renowned dancehall artist Garfield Delano Spence better known across the world as Konshens.


Hailing from Jamaica, Konshens travelled to the beautiful shores of Seychelles on June 28 to perform for his fans there.


Held at the mini stadium in the heart of Victoria, the show was one which also featured many top local artists such as T-Tray, Mercenary, Champion and many young prominent singers.
The mini stadium was packed and just a little before midnight Konshens made his way to the stage with thousands of fans cheering and applauding.



Konshens is the second Jamaican artist to perform in Seychelles this year, the first being Charly Black. Seychelles also welcomed another two top artists this time around from Uganda well-known as Radio &Weasel.



Bruk off yuh back, Gal a Bubble, Show Yourself and Couple Up’ among many others were some of the top hits performed by Konshens during the show, songs that are well-known in Seychelles.


His brother Delus who was passed away days before this show was supposed to be performing alongside Konshens.










The Minister for Tourism and Culture Alain St.Ange was among those enjoying the show and bringing his support to the organisers of the show and artists who were performing.



Minutes before Konshens hyped up his fans in Seychelles, Minister St.Ange addressed the crowd. He reaffirmed the commitment of the Ministry of Tourism and Culture to keep working to help bring in top international artists to perform in our country.










Minister St.Ange added that the ministry will continue to support local artists who were working to raise the profile of the island’s music and culture.  He also saluted all the local artists who performed during the Konshens show.



As a sign of respect for the late Delus, lights were switched off for a few minutes while the artists and the crowd lighted up their lighters and torches and sung along with Mercenary.
